QUICK TIPS – After Your Mastectomy Surgery

Quick Tips

Sharing the golden nuggets I find along the way while dealing with and recovering from my breast cancer, mastectomy and anything along the way. As I find them, I’ll bring them to you and you’ll be better prepared for your diagnosis.

Essential Items After Your Mastectomy

In this video I show you the TOP 2 ITEMS you need when you first get home from your mastectomy surgery.

The comforts of home are especially needed when you return from the hospital. There are things you can do, if you know, that will help you in your recovery.

Having these items ready and prepped from your return will help you recover quicker because they will promote healing.

  1. Big, Button-down, Comfortable Shirt
Having a loose fitting shirt that is worn out so it’s soft as it lays on your skin will allow your bandages and incisions to breath and heal as you stay covered and warm.
  2. Recliner Chair
Using a recliner to sit and sleep in will allow you the leverage to get up and down from a near laying position without using your pectoral muscles (which will be too weak to lift you from a complete laying position.)**Trust me this is essential so go to your discount furniture store and pick one up if you don’t have one already…you’ll thank me later after your mastectomy.

Come back to see all the tips in the series and…

You will get through your Mastectomy, it just takes time
