A Father’s Love
Interview: supporting his daughter through her breast cancer diagnosis
“A Father’s Love” on the support through my breast cancer diagnosis is a special interview I did with my “rock”, the person I turn to in times of crisis….my Dad.
Choose a Path
Watch as we talk about methods to cope with your breast cancer diagnosis, what path I took, the reactions and the outcomes. Getting the right support and having the right mindset will make a huge difference in your recover.
Different Needs – Find The Right Support
We are all different and need different types of people in our lives. For some it’s someone to cry with; for others it’s someone to tell them like it is; others need physical help and like me, I need a solution seeker. Find the right match to your needs and make sure that person is willing to at least be there through parts of your journey. Don’t go it alone. If you need different people at different times, then ask.
Support during your Breast Cancer diagnosis is essential.

Sandy, this video was very touching. To hear directly from a supporter (Your Dad) helps to give tips on how we can support and have a different viewpoint. This is by far one of your best videos. You both radiate love and sunshine even through a difficult time. Sending all the love to you coupled with a big bear hug. Love ya.
Thanks Larissa for your comments and feedback. As a “supporter” yourself I’m glad this was helpful and touched your heart.
Sending ya back those bear hugs! 🙂
What a rock to have in your corner! And such a great message to have captured and share with anyone who is also conquering this and those who are supporting them.
And I can see where you got your spirit and all that positive energy from 🙂
Big hugs
John, as always I appreciate your comments and feedback. Yes, my Dad is the best person to have in times of crisis. We think alike when it comes to problem solving. 🙂
I know you are and will be the rock your kids turn to for your strength and compassion as well.
Hugs coming your way!
Thinking of you Sandy and all of your fellow Survivors and all that you have gone through on your journey. My thoughts and prayers for you that you might have a long and wonderful journey of life. If there is anything I can do as a supporter of any of you in your journey I will be willing to give it a try. I am in ND so if you are near do not be afraid to get in touch. I walked the journey with my late wife for 30 years so I feel I know a little about this journey. I hope you find peace in the journey. You are so strong you all amaze me. Sending a Sandy virtual hug to anyone who needs one today.
