My Opinion:
I couldn’t wait until my order for this Australian Tea Tree Oil arrived. I was all ready to use the DIY recipe guide and start testing how I could swap out store-bought toxic products and incorporate this oil for anything I could. Within 2 weeks of receiving it, I wound up getting caught outside in the sun with no sunscreen! (Yeah, not my brightest move…wasn’t planning on staying outside that long, you know how that goes!) Well the result was a really bad sunburn, on my face no less. I had a video shoot in a few days and I was in “panic” mode, as you could imagine. I read that tea tree was good for sunburns so I put it on a beauty, cotton pad and used it morning and night. Only one drop was needed each application. To my amazement, I did not peel like I thought and it really helped sooth the burn! So thumbs up for that.
I have also added a few drops of this tea tree oil to my alkaline water in a spray bottle. The alkalinity is a “cleaner” and the tea tree just boosts the effects. I will continue to do this for my counters and other surfaces around my house.
Pro:
The tea tree oil is so versatile there are many ways to use it for a healthier environment on and around you. The oil made a huge difference in my healing from a severe sunburn without contributing to my acne issues. In fact my face has never been so clear. The oil also helps clean and disinfect my counters and any other surface I use it on.
Cons:
The top on this bottle is hard to see how many drops I am putting in my spray bottle. The top is designed to only dispense a drop at a time so you don’t over pour. Possibly a dropper would be a nice addition. However, this is not a deal breaker, just have to get used to the way it pours out. Also if you’re not used to it, tea tree oil has a strong odor. It’s worth it for me to get the results it offers and no matter what brand you use, the odor will be the same.
Final Recommendation:
I am very happy with Apothecary Extracts Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil. I have plenty left and use it in as many ways as possible. It seems to be great quality and definitely works as described.
